Des Moines, January 5, 2005 - A sad anniversary for a Floyd County Iowa family. Six months ago police found the body of Evelyn Miller and today the case is still unsolved. Evelyn disapeared from her home in the middle of the night July first. On the sixth, police learned what they most feared. Eveyln's body was found in the Cedar river, just a few miles from her home.
During the past few months police have executed a number of search warrants and interviewed several material witnesses. Still no arrests and no charges - only unanswered questions for Evelyn's family. Tonight Channel 13 sat down with Eveyln's grandparents to talk about what they think now six months after Evelyn's death.
Richard and Linda Christie live in the Metro. They say while it is difficult to not know who killed their granddaughter - they still trust the authorities are taking all the right steps in the investigation. The Christies say the memorial in Floyd the angel servies as a memorial for them and will be there for generations to come. They also thanked everyone who has given their family so much support since the death.
