Memories of Evelyn Miller

This blog is dedicated to the memory of our granddaughter, Evelyn Celeste Miller. Evey went missing July 1st and her body was recovered July 6th from the Cedar River near Floyd, Iowa. This venue will help celebrate the wonder that she was and also post up-to-date information on the wait for justice. If you have any information about the crime please contact the Floyd County Sheriff's Office at 1-641-228-1821 or e-mail me directly.

I am a friend of the father and I know him and Lindsey were trying to save money for a lawyer, but when you are paying as much as he did in child support, paying his own bills and taking care of his other child, it does take time to save money. They had talked to dozens of lawyers who would not take his case because they could not afford a retainer fee. but they were trying to find a lawyer who would take payments. they contacted legal aid sevices, but because he has a job, though they are still living month to month they could not recieve legal aid. so they put their hope and faith in to DHS hoping that her worker would do her job, but she didn't and now their daughter is dead. And all you can do is sit and point fingers at the family? well chris you disgust me, you do not know the circumstances and how much the Christie family has done trying to get that innocent child out of there.
